In June of 1993, Darryl joined the Albuquerque Dukes for a six-day “rehab” assignment. Unfortunately, his baseball success was cut short by addiction and what Darryl calls “Self-Indulgence Now.” His Baseball accomplishments include 1983 MLB Rookie of the Year 4-time World Series Champion National League “Silver Slugger Award” winner twice 335 home runs, and more. He was the first pick of the New York Mets in the 1980 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft.
